Vein in Venice 2026

Congresses

On 10 and 11 April 2026, the Palazzo del Casinò on Venice Lido hosted the third edition of Vein in Venice – International Meeting, an international symposium devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic disease.

Conceived as a meeting point for specialists in phlebology and vascular surgery, the event brought together an international faculty of clinicians and researchers working on new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

The scientific programme addressed some of the most topical issues in venous medicine: chronic venous disease, disorders of the deep venous system and pelvic veins, sclerotherapy, thermal and non-thermal ablation of varicose veins, treatment of recurrences and perforator veins, venous ulcers and lymphatic disease. Emerging topics included the use of artificial intelligence in phlebological diagnosis, HIFU techniques and robotic surgery for lymphoedema.

A distinctive feature of the symposium was its strong focus on clinical practice and direct exchange between specialists. Lectures and plenary sessions were complemented by workshops, clinical case discussions and demonstrations of the most innovative techniques and devices. Among other activities, the programme included workshops on venous stenting, non-thermal procedures, sclerotherapy and vascular imaging with colour Doppler ultrasound, including a practical demonstration of how to perform the examination correctly.

The international dimension was reinforced by speakers from many European and non-European countries and by the adoption of English as the official language, with Italian–English simultaneous interpreting. The meeting was aimed at a multidisciplinary audience of physicians, vascular surgeons, phlebologists, lymphologists, radiologists, angiologists and other professionals involved in managing venous and lymphatic disease.

The Palazzo del Casinò allowed activities to be spread across different spaces: the Sala Perla, seating up to 594, hosted the main plenary sessions, while the Sala Volpi was used for workshops and parallel activities. A large exhibition area also enabled companies in the sector to showcase technologies, products and devices for the treatment of venous disease. In total the Palazzo offers four further large halls and more than 3,000 m² of exhibition space, well suited to combining congress, training and an industry area within a single venue.
