Digital Dentistry Society Global Congress

Congresses

From 16 to 18 October 2025, the Palazzo del Cinema on Venice Lido hosted the Digital Dentistry Society (DDS) Global Congress 2025, billed by its organisers as the largest international scientific event for the digital dentistry community.

The Venice edition brought together more than 990 participants from 65 countries, including dentists, researchers, practitioners and specialists in technologies applied to clinical practice.

Under the theme “Dentistry between Artificial Intelligence, Mixed Reality and Robotics”, the congress explored the impact of digital technologies on the evolution of contemporary dentistry. Among other topics, the scientific sessions addressed artificial intelligence in diagnosis and treatment planning, mixed reality, autonomous robotic systems, digital implantology, advanced imaging, 3D printing and multidisciplinary treatments supported by digital workflows.

The 2025 edition was held jointly with the meeting of the International Association of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology (IADMFR), an international organisation founded in 1968 and dedicated to advancing dentomaxillofacial radiology. The programme thus brought together research, technological innovation and clinical applications, complementing the plenary sessions with practical workshops, scientific presentations, hands-on activities and parallel sessions devoted to dentomaxillofacial imaging.

The Palazzo del Cinema made it possible to run the congress’s various strands simultaneously. The 1,032-seat Sala Grande hosted the main plenary sessions and the Innovation Forum, while the Sala Pasinetti, Sala Zorzi and Sala Fellini were used for parallel meetings, scientific presentations and workshops. This multi-room configuration allowed a programme of concurrent educational and scientific activities to be managed within a single complex.

Research also took centre stage: selected clinicians and researchers presented their studies in short oral communications, while accepted abstracts were earmarked for publication in the congress proceedings in the Journal of Dentistry.

The programme also extended to the nearby Palazzo del Casinò, where the congress gala dinner was held on 17 October – showing how the different venues of the Lido congress district can be used in tandem to combine scientific sessions, workshops, networking and evening events.
