CORA Congress
From 6 to 8 March 2025, Venice Lido hosted the 8th CORA Congress – International Congress on Controversies in Rheumatology and Autoimmunity – in the prestigious setting of the Palazzo del Casinò.
The event brought together specialists, researchers and professionals from around the world to debate the most topical and controversial issues in rheumatology and autoimmune diseases. The programme featured 21 debate sessions, alongside scientific lectures, abstract presentations and discussion sessions devoted to diagnosis, treatment and the translation of research findings into clinical practice.
The congress was hosted at the Palazzo del Casinò on Venice Lido, a Rationalist building designed by Eugenio Miozzi and opened in 1938, which today forms part of the complex dedicated to major events and to the Venice International Film Festival. The venue offers spaces particularly well suited to international congresses: the Sala Perla seats up to 594 people and is complemented by four further large halls and more than 3,000 m² of exhibition space, which can be used for exhibitions, networking, catering and side events. Other spaces include the Sala Volpi, with around 150 seats, and the Sala Casinò, with around 340 seats.
Its combination of large-capacity congress facilities, services for professional events and proximity to Venice’s historic centre makes the Lido a particularly suitable destination for scientific congresses and high-profile international meetings.
