The event brought together companies, manufacturers, associations, technical experts and other international operators active in demolition, decontamination and recycling (DDR).
The professional programme offered a forum for discussing some of the key technical, regulatory and management issues facing the sector. Case studies presented included the sustainable deconstruction of industrial structures in the port of Buenos Aires, asbestos removal during the demolition of power stations, controlled and explosive demolition techniques, the demolition of the Michelangelo Hotel in Milan, and the regulatory and safety issues associated with chromium VI contamination.

Particular attention was also paid to the circular economy, resource recovery from construction and demolition, sustainability, safety and the management of hazardous materials, with the aim of sharing case studies, best practice and solutions developed in different markets. The congress also provided a platform for discussing the changes under way in the sector and the role of demolition in urban regeneration and in the recovery of materials.

The first day included the NADECO and EDA general assemblies and the presentation of the Circular Economy Awards, while 13 June was devoted to the international congress programme, with multilingual sessions and simultaneous interpretation, interspersed with time for networking and the exhibition area. The wider programme continued on 14 June with activities designed to bring participants together and introduce them to the local area.

The Palazzo del Casinò provided a layout particularly well suited to an event requiring conferences, association meetings, networking and exhibition space side by side. The venue features the Sala Perla, with capacity for up to 594 people, four further large halls and more than 3,000 m² of exhibition space, which can be used flexibly for meetings, sponsor areas and professional activities.

The EDA Annual Convention 2025 thus confirmed the ability of the Palazzo del Casinò on Venice Lido to host highly technical international B2B congresses, offering under one roof the spaces needed for specialist sessions, assemblies, exhibitions and professional networking.
["GET
